David Burnfield  Author, Teacher, and Apologetics

"Patristic Universalism" was Published in 2013 and was the result of David's careful research. "Patristic Universalism" presents scriptural, philosophical, and historical support for the universalist view and demonstrates why it was the model advocated by some of the earliest and greatest church fathers. David has taught a variety of apologetics classes.  His passion is to provide information that defends the historical evidence of the Christian faith. His most recent work is "Assessing the Synoptic Problem" which defends the literary independence view.

"I would fall into the category of a hopeful Universalist. While I find strong scriptural evidence for my position, I can certainly understand why other views regarding what happens to those who die apart from Christ have been advocated. But I would also say that everyone--no what matters their eschatological understanding might be--must likewise be hopeful rather than dogmatic about their particular views for none of us truly knows what will happen at the end of this age."

- David Burnfield

"There is no fear in love [dread does not exist]. But perfect (complete, full-grown) love drives out fear, because fear involves [the expectation of divine] punishment, so the one who is afraid [of God’s judgment] is not perfected in love [has not grown into a sufficient understanding of God’s love]."

- 1 John 4:18 AMP

God does not look for perfect people, but He can transform imperfect people. It is a work in progress, never be discouraged or fear that God will give up on you or anyone!"

“For I am convinced [and continue to be convinced—beyond any doubt] that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present and threatening, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the [unlimited] love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord."
